I'm using this bird house to house a security camera. It will keep the squirrels off yet provide a clear view of the area. I will have to see whether or not the entry holes will need to be covered. Or I could just throw in a few mothballs.This has been a great product for the meal worms to feed the blue birds. Just got to grease the pole inside and out or put it where the ants can’t get inside.I like that it came with screws to mount on the fence. I like that it was sturdy and that it had a removable front door with a plastic insert so you could actually see inside. But my roof started curling up just as someone else had mentioned. Feed started to mold inside and I had to vacuum out with shopvac. I do have blue birds in the neighborhood but none have visited.I was so excited to get this bluebird feeder. The blackbirds eat all their food and there is a blue bird house near by with babies inside. As I took it out of the box and bubble wrap I noticed a crack down the left side. Infuriating because this is not cheap. I ended up putting it up because of the babies. Who knows how long it will last . ExpensiveThe plastic front has film on both sides. Just peel it off.Within 3 hours of installing, the birdhouse roof began curling up. We will see in a couple of days if it gets worse. Husband said he would see about cutting a new roof and switching out this warped one. But what a waste of money to buy something that we now have to spend more money, and time, on fixing.This unit is really well built and it looks nice in the yard. Hoping our blue birds will use it. Real good quality!
